On this page

One app and one database of your reloading data, on every platform. The differences come down to two things. Hardware: a phone has a camera, motion sensors, and a watch on the same wrist; a Mac or a browser does not. And the solver, which the web app deliberately does not carry in full.

The LoadOut device family LoadOut runs on iPhone, iPad, Android phones, Mac and the web. Apple Watch, Wear OS and Garmin companion apps pair with the phone in your pocket. The LoadOut family: phones and tablets, Mac, the web app, and three watch platforms paired to the phones.

Where LoadOut runs

PlatformRequirementHow you get itNotes
iPhone and iPadiOS 16 or laterApp StoreOn iPad the tabs move to a side rail and lists open beside their detail.
AndroidAndroid 10 or laterGoogle PlayWeather meters and the shot timer need Android 12 or later; pairing a Wear OS watch needs Android 11 or later.
MacmacOS 11 or laterLoadOut for MacThe full workspace and the solver, with the side-rail layout. Bluetooth weather meters and the shot timer pair on a Mac with Bluetooth. No camera capture, motion sensors, or watch pairing.
WebA current browserLoadOut for the webThe workspace in your browser; your data is stored in the browser's own storage on that computer. Camera, sensors, and watches are phone and tablet features, Bluetooth needs a phone, tablet, or Mac, and the web app does not carry LoadOut's full solver: firing solutions are computed in the phone, tablet, and Mac apps, and the web app says so on the screens it affects.
Apple WatchwatchOS 10 or laterThe Watch app on your iPhoneSeven pages, eight while it holds a Pro Shooter Stats look-back, and a watch-face complication. Pairs with the iPhone app.
Wear OSWear OS 3 (Android 11) or laterThe Play Store on the watchSeven pages, eight while it holds a Pro Shooter Stats look-back, and a tile. Pairs with the Android app.
GarminConnect IQ 3.4; 31 devicesThe Connect IQ storeSeven pages (six on the Instinct 2 family) and a glance view on most devices. Pairs with the iPhone or Android app.

What each platform can do

Everything in the workspace is everywhere. The rows that differ are the ones that need a piece of hardware, and the solver, which the web app carries only in part.

Buying Pro

Buy Pro in the app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device, then sign in with the same account on your other devices to carry it across. The App Store and Google Play handle the purchase, the trial, and the receipt.

Garmin devices

The Garmin companion is built for Connect IQ 3.4 and runs on 31 devices. Co-branded models ride the same build as their base watch, so a tactix, quatix, Enduro 2, or D2 Mach 1 Pro is supported through the fenix or epix it shares hardware with.

No Garmin has a Firearm page; the Instinct 2 family runs six pages rather than seven because it lacks the memory for the Stats page. Garmin shows your holds and logs shots but cannot read a solution aloud: Connect IQ has no text-to-speech, which is a platform limit rather than a missing feature.

Languages

LoadOut speaks fifteen languages across sixteen locale options, chosen under Settings General: English, Czech (Čeština), Danish (Dansk), Dutch (Nederlands), Finnish (Suomi), French (Français), German (Deutsch), Hungarian (Magyar), Italian (Italiano), Norwegian (Norsk bokmål), Polish (Polski), Portuguese for Brazil and for Portugal (Português), Russian (Русский), Spanish (Español), and Swedish (Svenska).

Accounts and sign-in

You do not need an account. LoadOut opens as a guest and every core feature works that way. Sign in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft only when you want Cloud Backup or Cloud Sync, or to carry a Pro purchase to another device. Signing in creates no copy of your reloading data anywhere: the only cloud copy is the encrypted one you choose to make, in your own iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or OneDrive.

Storage and working offline

On a phone, tablet, or Mac your data lives in a database inside the app's own storage, and every reference catalog ships inside the app, so the bench, the solver, and Range Day all work with no connection at all. A connection is used only by the features that need one: Live Weather Pull, AI Smart Import, Cloud Backup and Cloud Sync, and catalog updates, which arrive without a store release.

In the web app your data lives in the browser's own storage on that computer. Clearing the site's data in the browser removes it, so keep a JSON export or use Cloud Backup from a phone or tablet if the browser is where you work.

Your phone's own backup

iCloud Backup and Android's device backup deliberately do not include your reloading data, because neither is encrypted with your passphrase. Keep a copy yourself: the free JSON export, or Pro Cloud Backup.
